Grand Staircase-Escalante and Bryce Canyon

My current favorite places in the Great Basin are Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, and the vague area known as the San Rafael Swell, which has its own page.  I’ve spent a lot of time in Grand Staircase-Escalante, and am barely beginning to explore it.  This is an extraordinary area.  I’ll add more notes soon.
